About Us
A warm and welcoming Conservative congregation serving the Augusta Jewish community since 1891
Over 130 Years of Jewish Life in Augusta
Adas Yeshurun Synagogue was founded in 1891 by Eastern European immigrants who sought to establish a house of prayer and community in Augusta, Georgia. What began as a small Orthodox shul has evolved into a vibrant, egalitarian Conservative congregation.
Our congregation has been located at 935 Johns Road since the 1950s, providing a spiritual home for generations of Jewish families in the CSRA. We are proud members of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ).
At Adas Yeshurun, we believe that a synagogue should be a place where everyone feels welcome — regardless of background, level of observance, or familiarity with Jewish tradition.
